What Our Pack Parents Say

  • By far the best dog care service around! The pack walks and socialization in a professional structured environment were a game changer when we started taking our 6 month old pup here. One of the most valuable things we were able to give our pup.

  • Great environment- dogs are so happy and relaxed. I trust the staff to know the dogs' behaviour and keep my dog safe. My dog always comes home tired from a day of socialization and play. Also, the photo shoots are hilarious!

  • PAWS was recommended to us by a friend and we couldn't be happier with their level of service. The pack walks, the staff, the photos, EVERYTHING they do demonstrates their commitment to a loving and inclusive environment for both furry and human friends.

FAQ

Dog Daycare Calgary — Common Questions

What is kennel-free dog daycare?
Kennel-free means no crates, no cages, no locked rooms. Dogs spend the day in open supervised play areas with compatible packmates and experienced pack leaders. At PAWS, every dog also gets a 45–60 minute structured pack walk through Calgary parks — the walk is part of every day, not an add-on.
How much does dog daycare cost in Calgary?
A single day at PAWS is $59.50. With packages, the per-day cost drops as low as $37/day on the Calendar Month pass. 20-visit pass is $47.45/day, 10-visit is $54.40/day, 5-visit is $57.30/day. Your first day is always free, and passes never expire.
Is my dog's first day really free?
Yes. Every new dog gets a free intro day — a full day of daycare including the pack walk, supervised play, and outdoor potty breaks. It's how we learn your dog and how your dog learns us. No commitment, no contract.
What areas of Calgary do you serve?
PAWS is located at 1313 16 Ave SW in downtown Calgary and serves dogs from across the city including Beltline, Mission, Hillhurst, Kensington, Marda Loop, Mount Royal, Bridgeland, Inglewood, and NW and SW Calgary neighbourhoods.
How do I register my dog for daycare?
Register online through our new customer portal — it takes about 5 minutes. You'll provide your dog's details, temperament notes, and vaccination records. Once registered, we'll reach out to schedule your free intro day. There's typically a 1–2 week waitlist because we only accept one new dog per day to keep introductions calm.
What vaccinations does my dog need?
We require Rabies (mandatory), DHPP (annual or as per your vet), and strongly recommend Bordetella every 6–12 months. Puppies can start as early as 12 weeks with at least 2 sets of DHPP. We ask for current vet records on file before the first day.
Do the dogs actually get walked every day?
Yes — every dog, every day. The daily pack walk is the heart of PAWS. Groups of compatible dogs walk 45–60 minutes through nearby Calgary parks and pathways with experienced pack leaders. It's included in the price of every daycare day, not a paid add-on.
Is daycare right for every dog?
No, and we'll tell you if it's not. Daycare works best for dogs that enjoy other dogs and benefit from structured socialization. We welcome anxious, reactive, rescue, senior dogs, and puppies, but we assess every dog on the free intro day and give you an honest recommendation. Our job is to match the right dog to the right environment — not to sell you a pass.
